Boeing, McDonald's and Apple - Midday Market Movers

McDonalds (MCD) dropped 3% Tuesday after buying startup Apprente Inc, a voice recognition technology, that it bets will allow it to automate its drive thru ordering system.

This is fast food chain's third tech purchase in the last six months, which includes a $300 million Dynamic Yield purchase to aid in data collection.

Boeing (BA) falls after it announces order of just 6 orders and 18 deliveries in August. Loses ground to rival Airbus, which now has a 224 plane delivery lead on the company year to date, up from 200 in July.

European rival Airbus (EADSY)  has increased its year-to-date delivery lead to 224 planes from July's lead of 200 planes.

All eyes on Apple (AAPL) ahead of its annual fall event at its Cupertino campus Thursday. The company is expected to unveil the latest edition of its iPhone as well as other gadgets like wireless chargers and new airpods. The stock is basically flat.
