Boeing and SpiceJet Reach Multi-Billion Dollar Deal

Boeing and SpiceJet have agreed to a $22 billion deal for a fleet sale.

Boeing (BA) - Get Report and SpiceJet have reached a $22 billion dollar deal. The fleet sale, agreed on Friday, is for more than 200 planes. That includes 100 of Boeing's 737 MAX 8 planes (added to a previous commitment of 42), a shift from an unnamed customer of 13 and an option for SpiceJet to buy an additional 50.

"We are honored to build upon more than a decade of partnership with SpiceJet with their commitment of up to 205 airplanes," said Boeing Vice Chairman Ray Conner.

Boeing shares closed at $158.29 on Thursday in New York, up a firm 18.9% over the past three months
