It was in the year 2012 when three friends Matt Salzberg, Ilia Papas and Matt Wadiak started sending customers boxes with cooking products and recipes.

Little did they know that this idea would become a hit, giving birth to American ingredient-and-recipe meal kit service called Blue Apron (APRN - Get Report) .

In past six years, the company has grown exponentially and even went public in 2017 becoming the he first U.S. meal-kit company to go public.
