Blast in Indonesia Blamed on Terrorism, JPMorgan Chase Beats
JPMorgan Chase (JPM) says its earnings per share were $1.32 versus $1.25 expected. It's the first of the big Wall Street banks to be out with quarterly results. The volatility that shook global markets over the summer left a hangover in the final months of 2015--particularly on Wall Street trading desks. JPMorgan Chase have fallen nearly 11% after the tumultuous first week of trading in 2016. Overnight, another apparent act of terrorism, this time in Indonesia. Police in Jakarta say a terrorist bomb and gun attack left at least 7 people dead, including police officers. Reuters reports that Indonesian police blame the attack on the Islamic state.
