Big Communications Companies Line Up to Bid in Broadcast Spectrum Auction

TV station owners are selling off the bandwidth used to broadcast their signal.

- Switch frequencies

- Share space with another station

- Go off the air

Wells Fargo predicts the auction will raise at least $17 billion. Cell phone services and satellite TV are lining up to bid.
