Shervin Pishevar, an early investor in Uber, has claimed that Benchmark Capital is seeking to remove Arianna Huffington from the board of the ride-sharing company.

The move comes as Benchmark works with another investor, Lowercase Capital, to remove former CEO Travis Kalanick from the board. The venture capital firm is currently suing Kalanick for fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.

Benchmark Capital has a 13% share in the company and a seat on the board.

"Based on a conversation with a representative of Lowercase Capital, we have learned that Benchmark also desires to remove Arianna Huffington from the Board of Directors and have made quite derogatory remarks about her," Pishevar wrote in the letter.
