Bed, Bath & Beyond was hurt by weather and margin issues earlier this year, but it has overcome those problems and looks solid heading into the new year, said Thomas McConville, portfolio manager for the Becker Value Equity Fund. McConville added that the company remains best in class and has a strong management team. He said Staples will also thrive in 2015 even as it closes stores, primarily due to the strength of its commercial business. Finally, McConville is bullish on shares of Urban Outfitters, saying the Christmas season looks good, especially for its Anthropologie and Free People lines.
