Greece will likely stay in the European Union, but investors better not buy Greek bonds unless they have a huge tolerance for risk.
Greece will likely stay in the European Union, but investors better not buy Greek bonds unless they have a huge tolerance for risk, said Michael Bapis, Managing Director and Partner at The Bapis Group at HighTower. Bapis added that the Syriza party has damaged its credibility and the Greek economy will continue to spiral downward until the country takes on its tax evaders to raise revenue. He is bullish on European stocks, however, due to the fall in the Euro, which he said will plummet below parity with the dollar. Finaly, Bapis said Germany holds all the power in the relationship and German exporters will be doing phenomenally.
