Minutes released from the the Bank of England showed committee members voting unanimously to keep rates steady, but one market expert sees that changing in the months ahead. David Battersby, Investment Manager at Redmayne-Bentley says with two members already wavering at the last meeting, they might raise concerns at future meetings about the timing of a rate increase, which the market anticipates will be in the spring of next year. The releases of the minutes had been delayed by the recent UK elections. Battersby also says continued low rates in the UK and elsewhere give markets a green light to move even higher.
