Bad News: The Planet Can No Longer Meet Humans' Demand on Natural Resources

Today is Earth Overshoot Day - The day on which human's annual demand on natural resources exceeds what the planet can reproduce in a year. 

The day comes 24 hours earlier that the 2016 date.

The Global Footprint Network released a statement ahead of the day which stated that it would take 1.7 earths to meet demand.
