Baby Boomers have been investing more and more in Facebook even as their children and grandchildren have been using it less, said Nicole Sherrod, Managing Director of Trading at TD Ameritrade. Sherrod added that the social media giant has moved up 5 positions on its list of most held stocks by Boomers. One stock which boasts multi-generational appeal is Apple. Sherrod said TD Ameritrade clients have over $19 billion invested in the iPhone-maker, making it the top holding across its customer base. Finally, Sherrod said Facebook competitor Twitter, which reports first quarter earnings on April 28th, skews younger when it comes to ownership, but it could soon rise among the Boomer ranks as well.
