Augmented Reality Beauty - Try Before You Buy
A lot of companies have been implementing augmented reality into their omnichannel experience - there are branded AR tools for everything from video games to an immersive Macallan whisky experience (best complemented by the whisky, of course).
However, it's one thing to attempt digitally dropping an Ikea table in your living room to test out the size - it's another to swipe through dozens of lipstick shades that affix themselves to your own lips through your phone.
And there's one cosmetic AR company that's used by brands like Walmart (WMT) - Get Walmart Inc. Report , Estee Lauder (EL) - Get Estee Lauder Companies Inc. (The) Report and Sephora so you can try out your cosmetics before buying them. It's called Modiface, and we downloaded the Sephora app to test out how close we are to the future of cosmetics.
