Asian Economic Woes Pressure U.S. Stocks
U.S. stocks opened to the downside Monday on bad economic news from China and Japan. McDonald's is down after reporting lower global same store sales.
U.S. stocks opened to the downside Monday after the S&P finished at yet another record on Friday. The pressure started overseas with bad economic news from China which reported a Feb. trade deficit of $23B, missing expectations for a surplus of $14.5B. Meanwhile,Japan's economy expanded by an annualized 0.7% last month, also missing estimates. On today's economic docket, Fed Presidents Evans and Plosser will be speaking. Finally, McDonald's is down after reporting lower global same store sales.
