Twenty percent of adults in the U.S. already own a wearable device -- and that number is quickly expected to rise, according to a new report by PricewaterhouseCoopers. Deborah Bothun, PwC's U.S. entertainment, media & communications leader, explains what's driving the growing adoption of wearables among American consumers and also what challenges the wearables market needs to combat in order to encourage adoption. Bothun says concerns about privacy, security breaches, price and ease of use rank among consumers' top concerns when it comes to wearables. Bothun says businesses looking to capitalize on the growth in wearables need to keep these concerns in mind and keep privacy issues at the top of their priority list.
