Apple kicked off its worldwide developers conference Monday by touting the newest versions of its desktop and mobile operating systems: OS X Yosemite and iOS 8. A developer preview of Yosemite was made available immediately, with a public beta arriving this summer before a major fall roll-out. Meanwhile, GM said sales in May rose 13%, making it the carmaker's best month since August 2008 - and that’s despite widespread publicity surrounding its 13.6 million U.S. recalls so far this year. Finally, RadioShack got a bump this week when it announced its plan to team up with startup accelerator PCH International to bring six square-foot "Powered by PCH" spaces to its US stores.
