Stocks dropped sharply on Wall Street in midday trading Tuesday as Treasury yields rise globally. Investors are also eagerly waiting for Apple's (AAPL) product launch later in the session. Shares of Apple are up better than 1 percent on heavy volume ahead of its new products launch. Apple's event is widely expected show off the newest version of its iPhone and reveal the much rumored iWatch. Later this afternoon, President Obama will meet with congressional leaders on foreign policy. Vice President Biden is co-hosting the bipartisan meeting at the White House. Both Senate majority and minority leaders along with the Speaker of the House are all expected to join.
