Apple Poised to Win the Battle of Black Friday Sales Supremacy
The battle for Black Friday sales supremacy is heating up. The strongest looking competitor seems set to be Apple. The tech titan is pushing a product lineup that could potentially score a Black Friday home run. Analysts are feeling positive about Apple's portfolio refresh which includes the best selling iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. A strengthening economy and slumping gas prices should also help Apple sales to shine across the holiday season. The new Apple Pay software and a lack of innovation from Samsung and Google also singles out Apple as a frontrunner. CEO Tim Cook announced that Apple sold over ten million new iPhones over the iPhone 6 release weekend alone. The Consumer Electronics Association has forecast a 2% increase in electronics spending for the 2014 holiday season while The National Retail Federation is forecasting a 4.1% increase in overall spending.
