Apple Pay (AAPL) is expanding its services to more countries this week as it looks to take on established competitors. The mobile payments service, which is now over a year old, will roll out in Canada on Tuesday and Australia on Thursday. Both countries already have an active market in the tap and pay space and Apple's technology will initially be limited to American Express (AXP) cards. Apple Pay will also be expanding in the U.S. by adding over 100 additional card issuers and credit unions. Next year, will see the addition of several more major U.S. companies including Cinnabon, KFC (YUM) and Dominos Pizza (DPZ). Apple's payments service is facing increasing competition from Google (GOOG) and Sumsung. Both have launched tap and pay services in the last few months for the Android market. TheStreet's Amelia Martyn-Hemphill reports from New York.
