Apple iPhone Sales Slow Down, Shares Are Lower in Pre-Market Trading
Apple (AAPL) - Get Report CEO Tim Cook says sales are slowing because everyone is waiting on the iPhone 8, which is expected to be revealed in September. Investors have bet big that the next iPhone will be a hit with consumers. Analysts say the next version of the iPhone will feature an upgraded display, wireless charging and augmented reality. The Federal Reserve wraps up a meeting today where no change in interest rates is expected. The governors may hint, however, they are on track for an increase in June. The Central Bank is scheduled to release its policy decision at 2 pm Eastern Time.Tesla (TSLA) - Get Report reports earnings after the closing bell today and investors will want to know if the company can deliver on all of its ambitious goals. Analysts will want clues on the Model 3, its lower priced electric vehicle. Tesla may also discuss the upcoming roof tiles, a semi-truck and other projects.
