Speaking out against President Trump's controversial decision concerning public school bathrooms is far from the first time Apple took on a social issue.
Apple (AAPL) - Get Report has long led the charge of tech companies when it comes to voicing opinions on social issues. Before most recently releasing a statement criticizing President Trump's decision to revoke an Obama-era guideline allowing transgender public students to use bathrooms based on their gender identity, Apple stood against Trump's immigration ban and publicly supported the LGBT Equality Act and the Employment Nondiscrimination Act.
