Apparently Some Voters Would Rather Elect a Meteor Rather Than Trump or Clinton
Election related merchandise sales are surging at online retailer CafePress (PRSS) , which reports a 50 percent jump over the 2012 cycle. Yard signs are one of the top selling items, with over fifteen thousand sold. Stickers, buttons, t-shirts and hats are also popular. CafePress founder Maheesh Jain says this week, Trump merchandise is outselling Clinton merchandise, but anti-Clinton merchandise is outselling pro-Trump items. Jain said Bernie Sanders items are still hot sellers, and since the RNC, Gary Johnson merchandise is doing well. CafePress has been in business since 1999, and Jain says in every election cycle, the company has been able to predict the winner based on top selling merchandise. At this point, it's too early to call, but Jain said another popular seller this season are items that read 'vote for the meteor, because we just want to end it all.'
