As Tesla's October 9th event draws closer, analysts are predicting that the 'D' in Elon Musk's elusive tweet stands for dual motor -- meaning a Model S with all-wheel drive capability could be on the way. In addition to boosting its appeal in foul weather regions, Edmunds.com senior editor Bill Visnic says an all-wheel drive vehicle is important to Tesla's lineup as it's become must-have equipment in the luxury car market. As for the 'something else' Musk mentioned, Visnic says we could see Tesla debut some type of semi-autonomous driving capability, but that's not where he believes Tesla should be putting its focus. Instead, Visnic says Tesla should focus on broadening its product range and introducing some lower-priced vehicles to the market.
