Anadarko History

1959. Anadarko Production Company was formed as a subsidiary of Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company.

1996. The company went public.

2009. The company had a huge setback as shareholders sued Anadarko for having misleading investors about their large environmental debts. The company had a settlement with Environmental Protection Agency to pay $5.15 billion to clean up environmental waste sites around the country.
