Women are feeling confident about controlling their money, and many are taking the lead in making financial decisions, says Suzanna de Baca, vice president of wealth strategies at Ameriprise Financial. According to a new study by Ameriprise, 41% of women surveyed are making financial decisions alone with Boomer women feeling the most confident about their financial plans. The survey showed that Gen Xers are feeling the most pressure as they try to save money while paying bills. Meanwhile, millennial women are the most conflicted because they want to be independent but many are still forced to rely on their parents for financial advice and assistance.
