Spending on Food, Fireworks and Family Trips on the Increase this July 4th. 

87% or 216 million Americans plan to celebrate 4th of July this year.

Fireworks revenue could surpass $900 million. That's a $75 million increase from 2016 sales.

New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware lifted restrictions on most types of fireworks.

$6.9 billion will be spent on food this 4th of July. 175 million people are planning a cookout or picnic. That's $75.35 per person.

150 million hot dogs will be eaten on the 4th of July this year.

47 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more this 4th of July.  That's the highest in 18 years.
