American Jobs, Trade and Tariffs Are Top Topics at Wilbur Ross Hearing
Wilbur Ross explained his position on trade and tariffs during his confirmation hearings.
Billionaire businessman Wilbur Ross tackled the issues of trade, immigration, tariffs and creating jobs in the U.S. during his Senate confirmation hearing. Donald Trump's nominee for Commerce Secretary says he believes tariffs are a good tool to make trading partners "play by the rules." He also discussed the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership, saying he was initially in favor of it but changed his mind. But Ross said he is pro-trade if the right deals are in place. He also said he'd support an immigration policy that helps the American economy.
