American Airlines (AAL) has become the second U.S. carrier to introduce the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner for international long haul flights. The aircraft is starting off on a domestic route between Texas and Chicago but will make its international debut on the new Dallas to Beijing route on June 2nd. American Airlines has placed a firm order for 42 of the latest Boeing 787s. The Center for Aviation reported this month that for the first time ever more Chinese airlines are flying to the U.S. than American carriers are to China. Delta (DAL) and United are also introducing new China routes this year. American Airlines will be using the Dreamliner on direct flights to Buenos Aires, Shanghai and Tokyo by August this year.
