AMC had already offered $1.1 billion for the smaller movie theater chain. People familiar with the matter tell Reuters that any price increase will likely be incremental and the company could still decide to walk away. Carmike announced Thursday that because of the ongoing discussions between the two companies, a shareholder vote on the deal would be postponed until July 25.
