Amazon Storefronts Showcases Small and Medium U.S. Businesses

Amazon.com launched "Storefronts" today, a new online store that only sells products from U.S. small and medium-sized businesses. And their VP stopped by to explain it all. Watch.

Amazon.com (AMZN) launched "Storefronts" today, a new online store that only sells products from U.S. small and medium-sized businesses.

"Customers can shop a curated collection of over one million products from nearly 20,000 U.S. businesses," says Nicholas Denissen, Vice President for Amazon.

These 20,000 businesses have been selected to be a part of the Storefronts by Amazon, based on strong customer reviews among other things.

Holly Rutt, co-founder of Little Flower Soap Co., is one of the lucky ones.  Not only will her products be featured on Storefronts but her sales have nearly doubled since she started selling on the platform back in October, 2016.

As a result, they have been able to hire more people, says Rutt, who also will be featured in the company's first-ever national TV commercial.
