Amazon Is Offering a Discount on Prime if You're on Government Benefits

Amazon is making this move as their rival Walmart tries to close the gap between the two companies.

Amazon (AMZN) - Get Amazon.com, Inc. Report is offering a discount on its Prime Membership if you are on government benefits. 

Customers that receive benefits, such as food stamps, will be able to pay just $5.99 a month. The normal annual membership is $99 a year or $10.99 a month. Amazon Prime Membership gives customers access to free shipping & unlimited streaming with Prime Video.

Amazon is making this move as their rival Walmart (WMT) - Get Walmart Inc. Report tries to close the gap between the two companies.
