A report by CNBC states that Amazon is holding meetings about programming in an attempt to lure in more advertisers. The e-commerce giant hopes that this will strengthen the company's video platform.
One of the suggestions being floated by the company is giving more data on viewers to advertisers. If advertisers knew more about the audience, they could target potential consumers more directly
Amazon is also exploring potential ways to prevent inappropriate content from appearing alongside ads, as this was an issue that hit Google in recent months. Companies pulled their ads from Google after ads appeared next to neo-Nazi and jihadi content.
