Amazon Gets the FAA Okay for Testing of Drone Delivery Testing
Amazon gets the okay from the Federal Aviation Administration to test its proposed drone delivery service.
Amazon gets the okay from the Federal Aviation Administration to test its proposed drone delivery service. If approved, it could be a game changer. A launch of actual Amazon drone delivery is still years away at best but the FAA awarded the tech company an "experimental airworthiness certificate" that would clear the way for Amazon to begin testing and researching the drone program. Analysts say one exciting growth area for drone delivery could be in prescription medications as many Americans already have their medicine delivery by mail. Amazon shares are trading near their 52 week high, closing Thursday at $373.24.
