Amazon debuted a new hybrid drone that can deliver small packages of up to 5 pounds. It has a range of 15 miles, and the company says that within months it'll be making commercial deliveries.
Though they couldn't specify where those initial locations will be, at the outset, the drone appears best-suited for backyards or other wide-open spaces.
Amazon's new drone joins its existing army of 200,000 robots, 50 cargo planes, and thousands of trailers and vans used in delivering packages to customers.
