Drone deliveries are on the way courtesy of Amazon. Amazon showed up a brand new Prime Air drone, and it's the newest member of Amazon's delivery fleet. It's a hybrid drone that can deliver small packages up to five pounds. That's the majority of Amazon orders. They have a range of up to 15 miles, and Amazon says that the shields make the drones safer and more reliable. In a matter of months. Amazon drone delivery will be up and running in some locations, joining Amazon's fleet of planes, robots and vehicles, and making deliveries faster and more efficient. Amazon debuted a new hybrid drone that can deliver small packages of up to 5 pounds. It has a range of 15 miles, and the company says that within months it'll be making commercial deliveries. 

Though they couldn't specify where those initial locations will be, at the outset, the drone appears best-suited for backyards or other wide-open spaces. 

Amazon's new drone joins its existing army of 200,000 robots, 50 cargo planes, and thousands of trailers and vans used in delivering packages to customers.
