The fight between Airbus and Boeing for jet orders is poised to heat up at the Farnborough Airshow outside London next week. The biennial airshow will take place on the heels of a $56 billion deal Boeing secured with Emirates airline for 150 triple-seven-X planes. That put pressure on Airbus, which many will be watching after Emirates' surprise cancellation of a $16 billion order for 70 A350 planes in June. Airbus is reportedly considering launching the revamped A330 at the show, depending on the commitments it receives. Boeing is said to be readying its long-haul triple-seven, especially as the wait time for buyers of its 787 Dreamliner and 737 Max is at least five years or more.
