Alcoa Misses Estimates in Final Report Before Splitting Up
Shares of Alcoa are trading lower this morning as the company posted 2016 fiscal third-quarter results that missed analysts' expectations.
Shares of Alcoa are trading lower Tuesday after the company posted 2016 fiscal third-quarter results that missed analysts' expectations. Alcoa reported earnings of $0.32 a share, below Wall Street's expected $0.34 a share. Revenue came in at $5.2 billion, missing analysts' projected $5.33 billion. Alcoa added that it expects a 2016 global aluminum deficit of approximately 615,000 metric tons. This is the company's final earnings report before it splits into two publicly traded companies, Alcoa Corp. and Arconic.
