Alcoa Kicks Off Unofficial Start of Earnings Season in the Trading Week Ahead
Alcoa (AA) kicks off earnings on Wednesday. Other key earnings include Bed, Bath & Beyond (BBBY), Pier 1 (PIR), Rite Aid (RAD), Walgreen (WAG) and Constellation Brands (STZ).
Key economic data in the trading week ahead include: ISM Manufacturing, JOLTS, Jobless Claims, Consumer Credit and Imports & Exports. TheStreet's Jill Malandrino points out Alcoa kicks off the unofficial start of earnings on Wednesday, and, of course, the commodity and currency trade is in play. In addition to Alcoa, other key earnings include Bed Bath & Beyond, Pier 1, Rite Aid, Walgreen and Constellation Brands. Retail same-store sales will also be released on Thursday, giving more of a read into the consumer and upcoming seasonal trends.
