Hedge fund manager Bill Ackman defended himself today against a NYT front page article accusing him of lobbying Congress in his ongoing war against supplement seller Herbalife. Shares of Herbalife only fell about 1% today despite Ackman's presentation charging the company violates China's pyramid sales laws in addition to those in the U.S. Ackman said he has the right to petition the government and he's never given any money to specific Senators to further his $1B short-selling campaign.
