Abbot Downing Exec: 'There's a Missed Perception That Volatility Means Risk'

Carol Schleif, deputy chief investment officer at Abbot Downing, discussed the market volatility.

She said that a lot of issues have been around for a long time--such as the Federal Reserve's hikes, jobs reports, or trade. 

Schleif also weighed in on the markets as we head into 2019.

Schleif said that the market has baked in a rate hike from the Federal Reserve in December.

"There's this missed perception that volatility means risk," she said. But "in many cases, it couldn't be farther from the truth."
