A More 'Presidential' Hillary Clinton Won Tuesday Night's Debate
Hillary Clinton emerged as the winner in Tuesday night's Democratic presidential debate and should gain in the polls, according to Corey Boles, Senior Analyst at Eurasia Group, 'She seemed far more presidential than any of the aspiring candidates,' said Boles. 'Indeed some of those candidates looked lost. Boles said that Senator Lincoln Chafee didn't seem to know where he was at times, while former Senator Jim Webb was complaining about a lack of air time.Boles added that Senator Bernie Sanders looked adrift during conversations about foreign policy. 'Governor O'Malley had a good night,' said Boles. 'But, whether it did enough to really register with voters, I guess we'll see, but my inclination is probably not.' Boles said he would be surprised if anyone but Clinton gets a significant bump in the polls following the debate.'Clearly she resonated a presidential aura,' explained Boles, who added that Clinton's strength on foreign policy came through last night, and Bernie Sanders appeared weak in that area.
