7 Reigning Super Bowl Ad Champions
Some Super Bowl advertisers spend a lot more than others, but this bunch in particular is spending tons.
From 2007 through 2016, the Super Bowl game has generated $2.59 billion in network advertising sales from more than 130 marketers, according to Kantar Media. The average rate for a 30-second advertisement in the Super Bowl game has increased by 76% during the past decade, reaching $4.8 million in 2016. That price is up to $5 million for Super Bowl commercials in 2017.
It's easily the costliest commercial time on television, with the 2016 runner up -- the NFC Championship Game -- costing just $2.2 million per 30 seconds.
