So, you've heard of Fortnite, but have you heard of Apex Legends?
The game was created by EA's Respawn Entertainment Studio.
The game, which was released in early February, raked in over $92 million in its first month.
And it attracted over 10 million players in the first 72 hours of the game's release.
In EA's Q4 2019 conference call, Apex was mentioned over 60 times.
And chief operations officer Blake Jorgensen said that Apex was a large contributor to EA's better-than-expected quarter.
The base game is free-to-play, similar to Fortnite, but players can choose to buy in-game currency to customize their characters and weapons.
Players can also purchase Battle Passes, which provide additional in-game content, for $10 for around 1,000 in-game coins.
