5 Ways to Keep Your Pocket Fat on Thanksgiving
People attribute Thanksgiving with spending time with family, stuffing your face and sharing what each other is thankful for in life. Of course spending time with loved ones is great, but sometimes hosting a lot of people could hurt your wallet. According to a reported by Statistic Brain, Americans are expected to spend $2.9 billion on Thanksgiving-related groceries this year, that's an average of $59.18 that U.S. households will spend on dinner alone.
In order to save money on Thanksgiving we have 5 tips that will make it easier to keep your wallet fat:
1. If you're worried about your budget, make sure to let your guests know dinner is a potluck this year.
2. Look for discounted or even free turkey deals in your area.
3. Release your inner Martha Stewart and try to make your own decorations.
4. Don't fixate on the brand; try to buy generic items.
5. Don't be shy; take advantage of your local dollar store.
