Kohl's (KSS) - Get Report is making a huge move to survive in the age of Amazon (AMZN) - Get Report . Starting today, the retailer will begin accepting Amazon returns in 82 locations in Los Angeles and Chicago because if you can't beat them, you join them. The move follows an earlier decision to feature Amazon products including the Echo in Kohl's stores.
This new service will co-exist with Kohl's "no-hassle" return policy concerning its own products, which allows customers to make returns at any time with or without a receipt.
But Kohl's isn't the only one attempting to lure consumers back in with great customer service.
Costco Wholesale (COST) - Get Report , J.C. Penney (JCP) - Get Report , L.L. Bean and Sephora also offer competitive and forgiving return polices that ensure you can ditch that terrible sweater your aunt bought you for your last birthday.
Will it be long before you see a stack of Amazon Prime boxes behind the customer service counter at your favorite retailer?
