Though President Trump's upcoming Camp David meeting with Republican congressional leaders to discuss legislative agenda will likely be instrumental in mapping out the year ahead, it's likely to falter in comparison to some of the most memorable meetings to occur at the presidential retreat.
First dubbed Shangri-La when converted to a presidential retreat by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1942, the camp has seen its fair share of high-profile visitors as well as diplomacy. Among those to sign the visitors' log include Sir Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher, Nikita Krushchev, Egyptian President Anwar al-Sadat, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Vladimir Putin.
