On Wednesday morning, it was announced that Scott Pelley will be replaced as the lead anchor for CBS Evening News. Although Pelley will stay on at CBS' 60 Minutes, his departure marks the end of a six-year tenure as the network's lead anchor. The longtime CBS reporter's dismissal from the Evening News, at this point, is not surprising--2017 has been a tumultuous year in the newsroom thus far.
