The 2018 ACA Open Enrollment Period runs from November 1 to December 15
The fifth ACA Open Enrollment Period has begun and runs until to December 15, despite confusion over changes to the process and uncertainty over the future of the law.
Here are 4 changes to the Enrollment Period that you need to know about:
1. The 2018 open enrollment period is shorter than previous years
2. Premiums are expected to rise to 21% due to the ending of cost-sharing reimbursements
3. Healthcare.Gov will be shut down for 12 hours on 5 of the 6 Sundays during the period
4. You won't be able to change your plan in January if you don't like the one you're automatically enrolled in
