The European Central Bank holds its September policy meeting and press conference on Thursday. Craig Erlam, a senior market analyst at Oanda, based in London, doesn't expect the central bank to announce additional stimulus measures. 'At the very most, they may push back the deadline for its bond buying purchases past March 2017,' he said. 'We still have very low inflation - far below the ECB's two percent target.' The ECB is currently purchasing 80 billion euros worth of corporate and government bonds each month. Erlam said monetary policy alone isn't enough to lift eurozone growth; fiscal reform is needed. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
