Facebook (FB) - Get Report is set to release second quarter earnings after the markets close on Wednesday. Analysts expect earnings of $0.81 a share on sales of $6.01 billion. IHS Technology analyst Eleni Marouli, based in London, expects another strong quarter for the social media giant and is looking for comments surrounding the monetization efforts of Facebook Messenger, which crossed 1 billion users last week, and its popular photo-sharing app Instagram.
