President Day sales generally are pretty darn good so if you're in the mood to shop, it may be worth it to try a little retail therapy this long weekend.

Especially because many stocks in the retail sector are doing ok.  While one-time retail giant Sears (SHLD) is getting clobbered these days, others are doing just fine. With the S&P 500 up a mere 2% year-to-date, retail stocks like Amazon (AMZN) and Target (TGT) are en fuego and up 24% and almost 17% respectively.

Even beleaguered Macy's (M) is up 5% YTD.

But stock prices aside, most retailers offer pretty deep discounts Presidents Weekend.  Whether they believe its your patriotic duty to support the economy or they just need to get you back in their stores after the Christmas/holiday burnout, discounts abound.

So watch our video so you can get out there to take advantage of these sales!
