The Dow Jones Industrial Average moved lower on Thursday and is 2,000 points off its Jan. 26 peak.

The blue chip index is back on its way towards correction territory.

In recent selloffs, Apple (AAPL) shares have moved higher, showing signs that investors view the tech giant as a safe-haven play.
